We are excited to add an experienced Senior Digital Designer to our growing team. In this role, you will bring strong digital design skills and passion for considering the e-commerce user experience in our Soho office.


Who you are:

  • BFA or BA degree required in Interactive Design, Graphic Design or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of web design experience
  • Has a strong portfolio that exemplifies a broad range of web design knowledge, online marketing strategies, and web design experience
  • Excellent traditional graphic design and typographic skills
  • Smart, creative problem solver with a sense of humor
  • Excellent attention to detail and process
  • Solid understanding of e-commerce business, including desktop, mobile and app strategies and design executions
  • Extensive knowledge of web browsers and publishing programs. HTML, CSS, JavaScript a plus
  • Expert use of Microsoft Office, Mac OS, InVision, and Slack
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, with a specialization in Photoshop and After Effects 
  • Strong retouching abilities
  • Experience in video editing with Adobe After Effects and Final Cut Pro
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to communicate in both technical and business environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment
  • Deep understanding of current retail, fashion, cultural and technological trends
  • Experience with beauty, fashion, e-commerce, and/or start-ups preferred

What you'll do:

  • Design best-in-class digital experiences based on the principles of design and usability, to support marketing initiatives and creative collateral that can be animated and static.
  • Help to define the DevaCurl brand visual language in the form of design, photography styling, lifestyle, user experience, e-commerce, and user interface design.
  • Partner with Brand Design team members to integrate company branding, videos, photography, text, and audio into digital environments that ensures a cohesive DevaCurl brand image.
  • Look for ways to evolve the user experience in the form of smart design solutions, useful, customer-centric e-commerce tools, and interactions.
  • Partner with the E-Commerce team on day-to-day creative updates and site changes.
  • Produce emails and website assets infusing animation and innovative marketing techniques.
  • Support strategies to drive site performance and KPI results through creative content.
  • Partner with PR, Marketing, and E-Commerce operations on creative and business-related needs for the website.
