R&D Regulatory Specialist

We are excited to add an experienced R&D Regulatory Specialist to our growing team. In this role, you will bring cosmetic regulatory, formulation and technical hair testing to our New York office.

 

Who you are:

  • General regulatory cosmetic knowledge for US, Canada, and European markets
  • Move easily and comfortably between quantitative analytics and marketing creativity
  • Able to work independently and with cross-functional teams in a fast-moving/changing environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, resourceful, and able to juggle multiple projects
  • Excellent verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic principles of cosmetic science
  • Known for your ability to come up with solutions to any problem and are sought after for your ability to resolve almost any issue
  • Work and fun are synonymous to you and your attention to detail ensures everything moves seamlessly
  • Eager to jump in as back‐up support your fellow teammates
  • Exceptional time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines head-on
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 years of beauty R&D and Regulatory experience across all categories preferred

 

What you’ll do:

  • Coordinate, and organize formulation data
  • Assist with registration and regulatory formula compliance for US and international markets
  • Maintain regulatory files and control documents, SDS, COA, etc.
  • Create region-specific ingredient lists and review artwork for compliance
  • Create and maintain Product Information Files
  • Complete applicable product filings for respective regions
  • Perform QC, experimental, developmental and analytical tests on finished goods
  • Perform Diastron instrumental testing on hair swatches to support product claims
  • Working cross-functionally with Product Development, R&D and Supply Chain to assist in the development of new and/or improve formulations and products
  • Communicate across various levels within the company while managing projects effectively
  • Exercise sound judgment and a true team player
  • Think and react quickly with a curious, can-do mindset
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Slack, Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and PowerPoint
